Here’s to CARE for REAL

Here's to care (walking by night)

Talked with authority,
among untroubled groups.
Prognosticating futurity
of crime stricken grounds.
Braggartly spilling ideas,
protagonist of their tale.
These men.

But then sun departed,
to opposite corridors.
Night swallowed raw,
streets in business.
A girl brutalized,
in the empty suburb.
These men

passing by,
rolled down their eyes
and
walked away……

I’m always reminded of a quote that changed the way I thought about helping others, more so eradicated the excuses that I made to not care!

IF I LOOK AT THE MASSES, I WILL NEVER ACT. IF I LOOK AT THE ONE, I WILL.
– Mother Theresa

  1. it is easy to stop caring when you see the crowd and think oh well but when you look into the eyes of one soul that one soul grips your heart and propels you into action, tackling things one by one is much easier to grasp than trying to carry the world like super man…that’s what I took from this but you’re the writer so you tell me

    • It’s always helpful to start from one and not a bunch for it will get overwhelming, the quote is astounding, the poem was directed on those who talk of eradicating suffering but fail to practice their responsibilities created by them when the need arises.
